~The 11th Day, the last day~

Feb. 16 (Wed)
The Last Day

Ten days had passed since our departure from Japan. Finally, this day came, which was the last day of our journey. All we had to do were to say goodbye to China and to go back to Japan by air. There was nothing to do. We didn't just have to miss the flight.

Beijing Capital International Airport

Before leaving for the airport, we went to Tiananmen again and tried to enter Mao Tse-tung Memorial which we'd not been able to enter two days ago. But today was Chinese New Year then the memorial was closed...

Changing the mood, we went to Beijing airport by limousine bus from another hotel near to our hotel. Arriving at the airport, we checked in at Korean Air's desk and passed through the passport control. Because of Korean Air, of cource, we had to change flights at Souel. It had been no problem on the outward but we felt blue because we looked at another flight to Nagoya on the return trip. I wanted to go back to Japan as soon as possible.

Our flight departed at the departure time. This was goodbye to China. We would come to China again because China is close to Japan. Good bye China until we come again.

Incheon Airport again

Maybe it's because the distance was short. Bibimbap wasn't served. Then we arrived at Incheon international airport for the first time in about ten days.

We entered South Korea and went outside the airport because we had a moment at this time. We entered a shop in the airport and found the instant noodle sold in Russia. After all, this was made in Korea.

We heard announcements of the airport in Japanese. So I think South Korea is really close to Japan.

After we left South Korea, we walked around our boarding gate. At that time, a staff of a shop talked us in Japanese and sought to sell items for Winter Sonata. I wanted to say who bought such a item was the housewife in Japan. It was unthinkable that she thought all Japanese wanted to buy them.

We waited for the flight with lying on chairs. I wanted to go back to my home and lie on tatami. Leave the outward aside, it's no good for me mentally. I want to choose a direct flight the next time. During thinking that, it was time to board. Finally, this was the last flight. It would be Japan when we get off the aircraft. I thought the long journey was finishing and I was a bit sentimental. I wish I can go on such a great journey again.

Return to Japan

After 11 days journey, a aircraft with us arrived at Narita airport. I was moved by looking a word "Okaerinasai(Welcome back)" in the airport.

We passed through the immigration and entered Japan in peace. It was already night the we took Keisei line immediately. At Narita station, I left other two persons going to Nippori. At the time, we promised to travel by Trans Siberian Express again when we have time after several tens of years pass and we retire. I went to Kashiwa from Narita via JR Narita line then got home by Tobu Noda line.

The long journey ove 11 days had been completed. Such a long journey was the first time for me. Such a experience to stay the same train for a week was aslo. After all, the world was so large. I regretted that I'd never been to foreign countries and I wish to see the world more. I want to visit Europe the next time, taking the high road. And then, I wish to visit Siberia again someday.

The End
